Jonathan Sarfati

Dr. Jonathan Sarfati was born in Ararat, Australia in 1964. He moved to New Zealand as a child and later studied science at Victoria University of Wellington. He obtained a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry with two physics papers substituted (nuclear and condensed matter physics). His Ph.D. in Chemistry was awarded for a thesis entitled ‘A Spectroscopic Study of some Chalcogenide Ring and Cage Molecules’. He has co-authored papers in mainstream scientific journals on high temperature superconductors and selenium-containing ring and cage-shaped molecules. He also had a co-authored paper on high-temperature superconductors published in Nature when he was 22.

Dr. Sarfati has been a Christian since 1984. He has long been interested in apologetics, the defense of the faith, and was a co-founder of the Wellington Christian Apologetics Society (New Zealand). Creation vs evolution is of course a vital area, because of the ramifications for the doctrines of Creation, the Fall which brought death into the world, and their links to the doctrines of the Incarnation, Atonement and Bodily Resurrection of the God-man Jesus Christ.

In August 1996, he returned to the country of his birth to take up a position as a research scientist and editorial consultant for Creation Ministries International in Brisbane. In this capacity, he is co-editor of Creation magazine, and also writes and reviews articles for Journal of Creation, CMI&rsqo;s in-depth peer-reviewed publication, as well as contributing to CMI's CreationOnTheWeb website.

In 1999, his first book was published—Refuting Evolution, which countered a teachers guidebook by the National Academy of Sciences, Teaching about Evolution and the Nature of Science, which had been widely circulated and publicized. Refuting Evolution now has 450,000 copies in print. Later that year he was a co-author of the updated and expanded Answers Book, answering 20 of the most-asked questions about creation/evolution. He later wrote Refuting Evolution 2, countering the PBS Evolution series and an anticreationist article in Scientific American.

In 2004, he wrote Refuting Compromise, defending a straightforward biblical creation timeline and a global flood, and answering biblical and scientific objections, concentrating on the errant teachings of day-age/local flood advocate Hugh Ross. It has been acclaimed as ‘the most powerful biblical and scientific defense of a straightforward view of Genesis creation ever written!’

In 2006, he co-authored 15 Reasons to Take Genesis as History with Don Batten, as a concise reference guide for Christians, including pastors and theologians, why Genesis can be trusted as real history of Creation about 6000 years ago and a global Flood.

Dr Sarfati is also a keen chess player. He is a former New Zealand Chess Champion.

Frank Sherwin

He has a B.A. in Biology from Western State College in Colorado and an M.A. in Zoology from the University of Northern Colorado. Frank's specialty is parasitology. He discovered a new species of parasite, a nematode of the family Acuariidae. He published his research in the peer-reviewed Journal of Parasitology with the late Dr. G.D. Schmidt. Before coming to work for ICR, Frank taught Human Physiology & Anatomy, Medical Microbiology, Parasitology, General Biology I & II and Cell Biology for 9 years at Pensacola Christian College. He is a member of the American Society of Parasitologists and the Helminthological Society of Washington.

We sometimes take for granted the oceans of the world in all their majesty and power. Frank shows the amazing variety of life from tidal pools to the crushing depths over 5 miles down! Important paths or currents in the oceans mentioned in Scripture have been shown to exist. The critical significance of moon-induced tides giving us weather of the world is also discussed. Finally, the Genesis Flood is addressed with reference to the volume of water in the oceans. (A favorite with audiences)

Thomas Kindell

Dr. Thomas Kindell was once an ardent believer in the “fact” of evolution. However, through his exposure to the scientific case for creation, he became a zealous creationist. He has received advanced training in scientific creationism through the Graduate School of the Institute for Creation Research in Santee, California. He has been privileged to study under several of the world's most prominent creationist scientists. He also has studied Christian Apologetics and Biblical-Scientific Creationism at California Graduate School of Theology where he received his M.A. in Biblical Studies. He holds a Doctorate in Philosophy of Theology (major in philosophy of Biblical apologetics.)

Dr. Kindell is the founder and president of Reasons for Faith Ministries, Inc., a non-profit ministry dedicated to equipping Christian believers to “give every man an answer” for their Biblical faith. For over twenty-eight years he has engaged in a traveling teaching ministry lecturing on Biblical apologetics and the scientific case for creation.

He is a licensed Assemblies of God evangelist and is the only credentialed Assemblies minister devoted to full-time teaching of Creation-Science apologetics.

He has also successfully debated the scientific case for creation against notable evolutionists on high school and college campuses, radio, and television. Dr. Kindell is a frequent guest on the radio series “Science, Scripture & Salvation” which is produced by the Institute for Creation Research. He is the author of the acclaimed book, “Evolution on Trial.”

He is a member of the Oregon Design Science Association and is a lifetime sustaining member of the Creation Research Society.

Spike Psarris

In his presentations, he'll show astronomical evidences against evolution and for creation.

Chris Ashcraft

Christopher Wayne Ashcraft is a creation scientist, speaker, and educator. He obtained the Bachelor of Science in biology from Wayland Baptist University in 1989 and a Masters of Science in biology from Texas Tech University in 1996. Following graduation from TTU, Ashcraft spent two years in a Genetics PhD program at Oklahoma State University, then accepted a position as a Plant Transformation Specialist for EDEN Bioscience. He was a research technician for 12 years specialized in plant tissue culture and genetic transformation technology. He is currently enrolled in a Masters of Education program at the University of Washington, and is a high school science teacher at North Sound Christian School where he teaches Biology, Chemistry, and Creation Apologetics. He moved from research into teaching in response to a call from God to work in creation science missions. He has been active in the creation missions for over a decade. He is firmly committed to researching and teaching creation apologetics and speaks periodically at churches, schools, and creation organizations in the Northwest United States. He is the founder of the Northwest Creation Network and the CreationWiki internet encyclopedia where he serves as senior administrator. He also organizes the annual Seattle Creation Conference.

Lisa Oudean

Lisa Oudean graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Education, majoring in Interdisciplinary Child Development.  She has taught for six years at Grace Academy, a Christian school in Marysville, Washington. Currently she is working on her Masters at the University of Washington in Bothell and specializes in teaching children science using an inquiry-based approach. Her passion is teaching Creation science that emphasizes the authority of God's Word in all areas of life.
